Hello, Titans!

I have loved living and working in Colorado.

I will continue working in Colorado; but I will be living, largely, in California; I’ve been hired as Assistant Professor and Head of Theatre Education at California State University, Fullerton.

So I’ve packed up my pets and my plants, and we’ve begun our Orange County adventure.

I never, ever pictured myself as a Californian. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and Inland Northwest, and always hoped that I would return there.

I also never, ever pictured myself as someone who would receive a tenure-track offer straight out of my PhD.

Hell, I never imagined myself getting a PhD. I owe this journey to a lot of folks I met along the way, who told me that I was capable of this; who saw something in me and encouraged me to go for the big dream instead of holding myself back.

Now, here I am, in a seemingly whole new world (the plants here are incredible!), eager to begin.
